Halloween has passed and Thanksgiving is just around the corner.\u00a0 We all know what that means!\u00a0 Christmas will, once again, sneak up on us.\u00a0 Unfortunately, so many of us wish we could just skip over this holiday season.\u00a0 Why?<\/p>\n
It is incredibly sad that\u00a0many are dreading this holiday season due to the passing of a loved one.\u00a0 As many of you, I have personally\u00a0witnessed a number of families struggles through Christmas… holding back the tears while putting a smile on their face as to not affect everyone else’s Christmas holiday.\u00a0 Through these experiences, this appears to be the biggest obstacle:<\/p>\n
People do not know how to react or what to say<\/em>:\u00a0 Do we mention how we miss that person\u00a0who has passed away?\u00a0 How will that make those grieving feel?\u00a0 Is it better just to ignore the topic in order to prevent sadness?<\/p>\n This is my personal opinion<\/em>:\u00a0 They are already deeply saddened.\u00a0 There is nothing we can do or say that will make them feel any worse… well, maybe there is… avoiding the topic.\u00a0 They want to feel as though their loved one’s memory is still very much\u00a0a part of the holiday season.<\/p>\n As I mentioned, this is my personal opinion due to my unfortunate experiences.\u00a0 I can very well be wrong.\u00a0 Please share your feeling or thoughts on this difficult topic.\u00a0 Perhaps we can make someone’s holiday season a bit less painful.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Halloween has passed and Thanksgiving is just around the corner.\u00a0 We all know what that means!\u00a0 Christmas will, once again, sneak up on us.\u00a0 Unfortunately, so many of us wish we could just skip over this holiday season.\u00a0 Why?
