\"\"<\/a>Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day for most, but a very sad and lonely day for some.\u00a0 Take a moment and think of the people you know, and chances are, someone’s Valentine’s Day is not worth celebrating.\u00a0 Many hearts are recovering from broken relationships.\u00a0 Some are grieving the loss of a loved one who shared in the celebration of this day just a year ago.\u00a0 There are parents who routinely\u00a0gave their child Valentine’s Day candy, only to wish they were here today to enjoy it.<\/p>\n

This morning, I called my 91-year-old Grandmother.\u00a0 Last night, she returned home after being in the hospital due to a “mini stroke”.\u00a0 My Grandfather passed away many years ago, and I know this is a lonely day for her.\u00a0 On top of that, she is not feeling well, and is completely alone.<\/p>\n

Grandma just sounded weary, and I assumed it was due to her illness.\u00a0 I instructed her to take it easy, and get some rest.\u00a0 She said, “Yes, I know.\u00a0 Everyone is telling me that.\u00a0 But, all I want to do is go to the Singles Valentine’s Day party at my church tonight”.<\/p>\n

My grandmother is such an inspiration to me.\u00a0 Her husband passed away many years ago.\u00a0 She has been struggling with illness this past year.\u00a0 She still lives alone in her condo and drives to Walmart on a daily basis.\u00a0 And, yes, she wanted to go “party” tonight.\u00a0 In my opinion, her Valentine’s Day is\u00a0NOT a day\u00a0for celebration.<\/p>\n

However, my Grandmother is celebrating.\u00a0 She entered the hospital on Friday night in an ambulance, unresponsive to all her the medical attention, and the prognosis was not good.\u00a0 Her entire church and family prayed consistently for her.\u00a0 Miraculously, she is HOME for Valentine’s Day!<\/p>\n

When I concluded my conversation with my grandmother, she was so thankful and felt incredibly blessed to be living today.\u00a0 Her Valentine’s Day ended up being a cause for celebration.<\/p>\n

I didn’t know that I needed it, but she sent me a “hug” today.\u00a0 An incredibly special “Valentine’s Day Hug”.<\/p>\n
